Mau Power debut Theatre Production
In December of 2015 Mau Power made his debut theatre performace on a production which he prodced titled “Sing Strong”. This production was a collaboration project that was inspired by the narrative of his debut album “The Show Wil Go On”. The production was self funded and produced under the “One Blood Hidden Image Entertainment Group” banner. This production is looking to hit the road in 2017-2018 as a state tour.
About Sing Strong
Sing Strong is the story of a young Torres Strait man searching for his identity through music, dance, and culture. His journey is one of many trials and tribulations, but through the art of storytelling, he discovers himself and what he truly is; a modern warrior.
Produced by Patrick Mau and created with support from Rita Pryce of Baiwa Dance Company, this journey is one of empowerment through song and dance, and is a story that compels a young warrior to “Sing Strong”.
