"Two shades of grey" radiates the raw energy from "one blood hidden image's" hypeman Maupower.
A 17 track solo release crossing between underground hip hop lyrical energy, to r&b while maintaining the influence of the indigenous Torres strait culture and language.
With tracks like "rogue souljah" identifying maupower's struggles to become the image he is in the hip hop scene to "My blood My People" sharing his pride to be identified as an indigenous australian, in particular a Torres Stait islander.
Songs like "summer jams" and "always told you" brings the vibe down to a mid-tempo bounce, giving it a more funk laid back feel that flows over the beat.
Even with tracks appealing to commercial air play and club scenes, maupower also infuses conscious music and content in "two shades of grey" with tracks like "moment of clarity" touching on topics of injustices he sees in the world today.

the intro, introducing Maupower with a rugged underground hip hop bounce. a lyrical track ingniting the energy that makes
maupower.
Aint going out:
a track featuring fellow "one blood hidden image" Mc, "Cagney" A.K.A. "the rebellious vibe" a flow that compliments and bounces off the duo carries the funked out track on an energitic lyrical trip. a catchy flow in the hook, stamping the sounds of two of the Straits Great Mc's in the sound waves.
Out of control:
A lyrical mindset with a underground beat, unleashes the enregy into the track which could be described and maupower's inner rage. the lyrics screams on the beatthat makes its level blow out of control.
Rogue souljah:
a track dedicated to a persona adopted by Maupower. how the road travelled is never easy but the outcome can be sweet. how each souljah will alway no matter what travell these paths alone. featuring the melodic vocals of "Danny boii" with the influence of the torres strait language, it make for a indigenous souljah's anthem.
My Blood My People:
A song dedicated to the pride Maupower takes for his culture, his identity and his people. with a strong influence of traditional torres strait instruments and the traditional language of "Kalaw kalaw Ya" (KKY) of the top western regions of
the torres strait, this drives the song to carry the power of his pride to the people, and it is felt through out the song. Featuring the vocals of Alick Tipote who translated and chants the traditional language and Ben Doolah, singing the english translations.
Summer jams:
a steady funk vibe to a classic summer time joint give this track the laid back island style feel to a track you can bump at BBQ's and beach parties.
Dream Girl:
a track that is set for the ladies, it flows about that dream girl ever guy has, and how they set about just trying to get her to notice them
Krazy over you:
like dream girl this track is also set for the ladies, but in particular young couples just starting out. how young love is sweet on each other and they just want to call each other and let their sweet heart know so.
Shootin' Star:
a club joint for the ladies, how ladies roll up like super starrs

a joint about a girl who isn't all she seems to make out to be. labeling indiscretions and infidelity it rocks on how she played he out, but tables can turn!! with a funky jazzy beat created by "Jim Blah" this joint inspired maupower to take a lyrical trip and used music as a metaphor to describe this type of girl and her actions. so it was only fitting to name the
girl "Music".

played with an accoustic guitar and featuring "Danny Boii", life is looks at putting perspective on life for maupower. what it means to strive, struggle and survive to maupower. with dedications and shout outs to people who inspires him with positivty, life is will bring you to see and put perspective on your own ambitions in life.

A track that pinpoints moments in life where you see past this misty shades of grey and see your world in its clear black and white prints. it delivers maupowers views of how he see this nation at this point so you can stop and see it too.

A track of self conflictions. laid out as a story of a youngster struggling with selfesteam issues and constant conflictions within himself which drives him to contemplate suicide, but in the mist of it all an angel appears as his conscience and shows him two paths and the consiquences of his actions should he chose to chose either. written to a underground hip hop beat, Maupower explores the art of story telling with his lyrics.
